System Modeling and Simulation Laboratory

The System Modeling and Simulation Laboratory (SMSL) is currently very busy optimizing vaccine allocation for Covid-19, and with analysis and data collection for the SDG Target Interactions. A graduate student is soon to defend his thesis on a coupled discrete-continuous model for submarine mass failures and the tsunamis they generate. Another graduate student is currently exploring optimal stopping for a cascade of disasters, while another explores network models for epidemiology.
