DCS welcomes Ms. Calimbahin and Mrs. Ordanel to its roster

The DCS welcomes two new faculty members to its roster: Miss Caezarina Marie Calimbahin and Mrs. Ivy D. Ordanel.

Miss Calimbahin graduated from the University of the Philippines Los Baños with a degree of B.Sc. in Applied Physics, and obtained a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of the Philippines Diliman. Prior to joining the Department, she worked in Standards and Interoperability Lab - Asia (SIL-Asia), Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Canon Information Technologies Philippines, Inc.. While studying for her Masters degree, she also got involved as a researcher in projects funded by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) - Philippine-California Advanced Research Institutes (PCARI), as well as Samsung R&D Institute Philippines. Her primary research interest is on cognitive IoT.

Mrs. Ordanel graduated from the University of the Philippines Los Baños with a degree of B.Sc. in Mathematics, and obtained a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Ateneo de Manila University. Prior to joining the Department, she worked in Canon Information Technologies Philippines, Inc., and AI-Pros Inc.. She also served as a consultant for Oracle Philippines Inc.. She also had lecturer stints at the University of Santo Tomas and the Ateneo de Manila University. Her primary research interest is on theoretical computer science with primary focus on complexity theory and algorithms .
